Nachdem Gerrit das Loudblog vererben wollte, habe ich die verantwortungsvolle und ruhmreiche Aufgabe der Fortführung der Entwicklung übernommen. 
Eine Liste mit wichtigsten neuen Features gibt es auch schon:
- Bildverwaltung
- Statistikfunktionen
- Volltextsuche
- Flash-Video-Unterstützung
- Tagging
Das ganze wird einhergehen mit einem kompletten Code-Rewrite. Wann das alles passieren soll, steht in den Sternen, aber ich hoffe ja auf die tatkräftige Unterstützung von der »Community«
Loudblog ist eine einfache PHP-Software zum Publizieren von Podcasts. Die neue Version wird voraussichtlich nur mit PHP 5 arbeiten und erweiterte Funktionalitäten wie Track- und Pingbacks zur Verfügung stellen. Für Nutzer der alten Version wird es selbstverständlich ein Migrationsscript geben, jedoch werden die alten Templates sicherlich hinfällig, da genau die es waren, die Probleme machten.

Loudblog users everywhere will be interested in, and perhaps a bit worried by, this development.
I have made a rough translation of the posting above into English, for the benefit of Loudblog users who may not speak German.
Gerrit wants to hand Loudblog on to someone else and I have taken on the responsible and glorious (!) task of taking its development forward.
There is already a list of the most important new features:
- image management
- statistical functions
- full text search
- support for flash video
- tagging
This will be accompanied by a complete code rewrite. When all of this will happen is anyone’s guess, but I hope to have the energetic support of the Loudblog community.
Loudblog is straightforward software for publishing podcasts. It is anticipated that the new version will run only on php 5 and will implement enhanced functionalities such as tracking and Pingback. For users of the older version there will be a migration script. However the old templates will definitely become obsolete, since it is they which are causing the problems.
Good luck. Loudblog is a very valuable piece of software and we all hope that its development will continue.

thank you for your wishes.
LoudBlog’s code will be rewritten from scratch. Therefore, it will probably not working with plugins, extensions or templates of prior LoudBlog versions. Sorry for that.
However, the aim is to write a very, very flexible code basis, so that integration and development will be made simple in future releases of LoudBlog. This causes a longer initial development time, but probably leads to better synergies with other PHP software.
At the moment I am very, very carefully with announcing a release date for the initial beta.

I’m very happy to see the loudblog project on good hands, for my side i have nothing to loose on waiting what you are going to come up with and support you on whatever choice you make, it’s probably for the good health of Loudblog anyway
so i’m not asking a release date, i’m already glad the project continue, Loudblog is one of the most important part of my website and i can’t afford loosing it, plus hosting it’s own podcast feed is just something wonderfull and all this is possible, because of Loudblog..
